• Become a CIWC leader

  Have an idea for a great adventure?  Interested in sharing a destination that you love with like-minded club members.  Why not become a CIWC trip leader?  We have a proven leadership track to get you comfortable with leading a group.   Leaders can lead day trips as well as overnight adventures.  

  Requirements for Overnight Leaders: 

  •         CIWC club member in good standing.
  •         Been on several CIWC outings.
  •         Take Leader Training Opportunities
  •         Current Wilderness First Aid and CPR.
  •         Co-lead at least one trip with a seasoned leader.
  •         Have people skills.
  •         Comfortable with technology to keep trip participants informed about your trip.

  Leader rewards:

  •         Reduced travel expense on the trip you are leading. (Air travel excluded)
  •         Invitation to leader exclusive functions
  •         The satisfaction of leading members to memorable places.
