CIWC Open Positions

CIWC Trip Leader

Responsibilities:

  • Outline trip, write trip description, and submit trip proposal for approval
  • Gather cost estimates and other details from vendors
  • Communicate with trip attendees
  • Manage allocated trip budget
  • Lead group during trip with an eye on attendee safety

Requirements:

  • Must be a current club member in good standing
  • Certified in Wilderness First Aid (or higher) training
  • Attend annual CIWC trip leader orientation training

CIWC Social Co-Chair (Appointed)

Responsibilities:

  • Organize social activities/events such as the club picnic, holiday party, and public meetings
  • Plan and coordinate refreshments and on-site seating and table arrangements
  • Greet event attendees, recruit new members, and encourage existing members to organize events

Requirements:

  • Must be a current club member in good standing

Interested in becoming our Social Chair?  


CIWC Equipment Chair (Appointed)

Responsibilities:

  • Establish guidelines and procedures for storage site access and use of club gear

  • Maintain an inventory and status of checked out gear

  • Work with owner of the storage site for gate access, lock and key control

  • Make new gear purchases or repairs/upgrades when needed

Requirements:

  • 1+ years experience as a CIWC member
  • Must be a current club member in good standing

Appointed roles: Selected by the current board members
Elected roles: Voted in by CIWC membership at end of the year
Member in good standing: Current on all dues/payments and adheres to the CIWC code of conduct
