One of CIWC’s principle functions, is to help educate outdoor enthusiasts. We have been given an opportunity to help Hoosier National Forest spread the leave no trace principles in one of the most popular areas, the Deam Wilderness area.
Join me on July 16th 9:00 am at the Blackwell horse camp. We will distribute LNT (Leave No Trace) material to attendees, and split up to cover the 2 main trailheads into the Deam Wilderness. We will spend approximately an hour and half educating and distributing the LNT material. After that we can hike to the peninsula area for more material distribution and have a great day hike.
We will need at the maximum 10 people to help.
This is a great opportunity for our club to make a difference and be good stewards of our wilderness areas.
Due to past problems, pets are not allowed.
On any club related trip, including Meetup outings, please be prepared to sign the club waiver (release of liability) and provide emergency contact information. The information would be used to make contact with someone, on your behalf, should an unexpected emergency arise while enjoying a club activity.
Please Register to help us anticipate turnout.
