Lake Paddling – wearing PDF required 

1. Warm (above 65 degrees) calm waters – very little wind.

2. Cool waters / slightly windy, waves up to one foot – water is always cool 

3. Challenges from wind & waves – trip may experience days with wind. 

4. Portages: (number, longest, terrain) depending on the route selected, estimate 20+, longest less then a mile, terrain includes hills with rocks and roots

Will depart westside of Indianapolis in the club van at 6:30 AM Saturday June 6, 2020. Will drive 10 hours to Springbrook WI and camp at Camp Namekagon

This trip is not a beginner trip. You need to have canoe experience and backcountry camping experience. We will be sharing in all camp chores of cooking, dishes, filtering water and gathering firewood. All breakfasts and dinners on the water are included. You need to provide your own lunches and other meals during the trip.

On Friday June 12, 2020 we will be picked up by the outfitter and shuttled back to Camp Namekagon where we can shower. The we drive halfway to Indianapolis and get a hotel room for the night.

Get up Saturday and finish the drive back to Indianapolis.

Those going on the trip should attend the canoe trip training weekend.

All trip participants must fill out and submit a CIWC Medical Form  and Long Waiver Form.  

Effective on all trips, there will be a $50 non refundable registration fee. This fee will be assessed to those who sign up for a trip, get on the roster and then later cancel. Even cancelling before the cancel date. Those who never make the active roster (i.e. those who stay on the waitlist) will NOT be charged the $50 cancellation fee.
