Public Event - CIWC 2018 Trips Roll-Out
Holliday Park, 6363 Spring Mill Rd
January 24, 2018 6:30 - 8:30 pm
Join the Central Indiana Wilderness Club (CIWC) as we announce to the general public our major trips and events for calendar year 2018. Trip leaders will be present to discuss trip details and will be available for questions. For 2018, we will announce trips relating to backpacking, hiking, paddling and some skills-related workshops.
This event (Public Roll Out) is open to both CIWC dues-paying members and the general public via various media outlets such as Meetup and Facebook.
There will be a 30 minute social time (with light refreshments) starting at 6:30 prior to the meeting at 7:00.
Some of these trips are one week in length and some are weekend events. All provide an affordable experience to the participants.
We have trips for beginners and those with lots of outdoor experience. On a CIWC trip you will have the opportunity to explore new places and meet new friends. Our trips are small and friendly, averaging eight people per trip, organized by a CIWC member. Our membership includes people who vary widely in age, experience and ability.
Our out-of-state trips usually include transportation in the club van. Our van is a 2011, 12-passenger and allows the group plenty of ride space and gear storage. (Typical travel group is 8 or 9 people).
At this Roll Out event you will have the opportunity to officially join / rejoin CIWC and become qualified to register for “members only” events. We have online capability including PayPal or credit card payments. Annual dues are $35 Single or $50 Family.
Many of the trip rosters will fill at this event. Some have already been filled by club members who have received advanced notice. (i.e. - a benefit of membership)
Come and meet fellow adventurers who all share in the love of out-of-doors. See old friends and find some new ones. You, as well as any guests you wish to bring, are welcome!
Club members enjoy a quarterly newsletter, early notice of trips, seasonal “socials” and the benefit of being involved in one of Indiana's longest-established, formal non-profit clubs for the enjoyment of all things “outdoors”.
Hope to see everyone there!
